BANK CLERK SHOT - DEATH OF EASTERLING
Thomas Walter Easterling, the bank clerk who was shot accidentally at the Government Savings Bank of New South Wales in Moore-street, City, on Thursday evening, died in the Sydney Hospital this morning as a result of his injuries.
The bullet struck Easterling in the chest and went down into his stomach. An operation was performed at the hospital and he appeared to be progressing favorably, but he took a bad turn and died shortly fterwards
He was the son of Mr Easterling, a well known officer of the Railway Department and was 28 years of age.

REVOLVER ACCIDENT.
Sydney, Friday.
While Hermann Burrows was removing cartridges, from an automatic revolver at the Government Savings Bank, Moore-street, one exploded and entered the stomach of Thomas Easterling another clerk, whose condition is critical. The affair was purely accidental, as both men are the best of friends.

A BANK CLERK SHOT.
Revolver Accidentally Explodes.
A shooting accident occurred at the Government Savings Bank of New South Wales, Sydney, on Thursday, as a result of which a clerk named Thomas W. Easterling, of Canterbury, lost his life. Easterling and a teller named Hermann Burrows were working late at the bank. About nine o'clock the clerks finished their work, and were unloading the automatic revolver usually kept at the bank. Suddenly one of the cartridges exploded, and the bullet struck Easterling in the chest and went down into the abdomen. He died shortly after.
